TELECOM series power supplies are designed for use in wide spread cable networks to power all the active equipment from a single source giving you better control, maintenance and continuos operation. A typical feature of these power supplies is the use of a voltage low enough for a safe usage and at same time high enough to minimize cable conduction losses.
The series includes both mains power supplies and downstep converters. Mains supplies are powered with 230Vac and output the telecom line voltage, while downstep converters transform delivered power to a voltage suitable for the active equipment - like 5V, 12V, 24V, etc. All converters are based on SMPS technology with high efficiency and high line and load regulation.
To transfer power to the active equipment this technology uses either the spare pairs of FTP Cat5e cable at 100mbps networks, either additional power wires of a fiber optic cable. The latter typically have significantly larger cross-section and can carry higher currents over a longer distance. Isolated mid-point converters can be used to create a central powered network with sub-networks (segments) which are isolated and fault protected (sandboxed) from the entire network.
Central power supplies Micro VPS (µVPS) are manufactured with output voltages of 40VDC, 48VDC, 60VDC, 80VDC, 90VDC, 110VDC, 120VDC, 150VDC in the power range of 200W to 300W. Their active fan cooler allows relatively high power output in small volume. They are suitable for installation in server rooms and telecommunication cabinets. They can be connected to a 230VAC UPS to provide continuous power to the line.

Central power supplies Nano VPS (nVPS) are suitable for small network segments requiring less power. They are passively cooled and can be installed in places where FAN noise is not acceptable. Their nominal long term power is 40/45W, but can output nearly twice (75W) for a couple of minutes - "power boost" feature. Possible output voltages are 40VDC, 48VDC, 60VDC, 90VDC, 120VDC. They can be connected to a 230VAC UPS.

When network segmentation is required, intermediate (mid-point) converters may be used to isolate potential vulnerabilities. They output a stable line voltage, isolate output line from the remaining segments, and if any problem occurs in this area, they retain the operateability of the rest of the system.

Transferters V6-5, V6-12 и V7-12 are isolated power converters with output voltage 5V or 12V and about 6W power. They are designed for powering fiber-optic media converters and 100mbps ethernet switches. V7-12 model is equipped with two output connectors and is capable of driving two 100mbps switches. A wide variety of output connectors can be selected to cover different devices and brands. Can made in plastic boxes or covered by a heat-shrinkable tubing.
A6 and А8 transferters are non-isolated and are recommended to be used in internal building networks where all equipment is connected to a commong PE/ground. Their output voltage is 12V with 6W of power for A6 and extended 8W of power for A8. A6 is designed to power one 100mbps switch, while A8 has two output connectors to feed two switches. They are covered in heat-shrinkable tubing.

Transferters V16-12, V16-24 and V16-48 are isolated power converters with output voltages 12V, 24V and 48V and 13W nominal output power. They can be used to power 1Gbps ethernet switches, WiFi antennas and routers. The V16-48 model can be used as an additional isolator and regulator for PoE-compatible devices. All devices are packed in a heat-shrinkable tubing and can be equipped with different output connectors.
Transferters V10-5, V10-7.5 and V10-9 are isolated converters for spcific applications. Their output pawer is in the range of 9-10W depending on output voltage. All devices are packed in a heat-shrinkable tubing and can be equipped with different output connectors.
V36-24 with its higher output power of 36W comes in an aluminum case. It provides better input-output isolation, enhansed input and output filtering and output voltage adjustment. Input and output connectins are made using screw terminals.

In certain cases it may be necessary to use a local UPS at the load point. The V16-14R, V16-28R and V16-5R models provide this function using an external lead-acid 12V battery of your choice. They can also be very useful when powering equipment which peak current exceeds the average - for example, GSM/GPRS communicators. In this case, a power module with a relatively low average power can be installed, at peak times the current will be drawn from the battery, and in the rest of the time the battery will be recharged. Devices are provided with deep battery discharge protection and input to output isolation.
